PathProof™ Surgical Specimen Container Product Description

PathProof is a breast specimen container that delivers an all-in-one device for the entire transport, imaging, analysis, and storage process. Created by a medical inventor and diagnostic radiologist, PathProof offers proper tissue compression with an alphanumeric grid, leak-resistant snap-on lid to prevent biohazardous fluid spills, and provide cost savings through streamlined workflows across Surgery, Radiology, and Pathology departments.

Instructions for Use

Surgery:

1. Remove the PathProof lid.
2. Remove the adjustable stabilizer plate using thumb tabs.
3. Insert the specimen into the container.
4. Using thumbs to press on the inner tabs, reinsert the adjustable stabilizer plate to lightly secure specimen. Do not compress the stabilizer plate to cause the specimen to protrude through the grid, doing so may compromise the specimen’s reading.
5. Securely replace the PathProof lid to minimize leakage during transport.
6. Label the top of the container with patient information.
7. Transport PathProof to Radiology.  

Radiology:

1. Verify specimen is securely in place and not protruding through the grid.
2. With the PathProof lid intact, take the image.
3. Secure the lid and transport PathProof to Pathology.  

Pathology:

1. Remove the PathProof lid.
2. Remove the stabilizer plate using thumb tabs.
3. Process the specimen and place it back in the container with lid, for storage.

Non-warranty or non-custom product returns are accepted within thirty (30) days from the date of delivery provided they are accompanied by a Return Materials Authorization (RMA). Our stainless steel instruments are guaranteed to be free of defects in workmanship and material for the life of the instrument. This warranty does not include maintenance such as sharpening due to general use or damage caused by improper care or cleaning methods. The following limited warranties also apply: Laparoscopic Instruments – 2-year warranty; LEEP Instruments – 1-year limited warranty for the nylon coating.
